Bang! The USB Key Drive
[via ForeverGeek]
Tristan Nitot had a dream, some John Haller made this dream true. Portable Firefox is a 7-8 MB set of files allowing you to run a fully standalone Firefox (1.0) browser, thus, you may paste them into a USB key drive easily.
The main goal of Bang! The USB Key Drive and Portable Firefox is to have a running Firefox without having to install the software. Some people are reluctant (and I do understand it) for others to install programs on their machines. Now you can switch someone without being too intrusive.
Thus, just play around with this browser a few minutes, demonstrating how useful the Red Panda may be, and, when the demo is over, unplug the USB drive with a grin... There are many chances that your friend will yell at you, saying : "heeeeeeeeeey! I want it! How can I download it?".
In other news, John Haller did the same for my favorite e-mail client: Portable Tunderbird is up to your download.
BTW, it's only for Windows. But Linux users don't care, they have no IE on their desktop.
